Composite of Feeling Bored, Tired and Excited

(Jakarta) – The news about ex-first leading figure in Indonesia, Soeharto being taken care of always draw out attention from every where. Especially for news seeker or journalist. The flow of information supply seemed to increasing rapidly around Soeharto’s sickness.

Behind every chasing steps over the informant, there are interesting facts about them whose duty to observe, to scrape, and to spread information about Soeharto.

Since Mr. Harto was a very important figure, then news related to him also significant.

As told by Mega (28), radio announcer who declared her bittersweet in observing former leader of new order's condition.

“I’ve been here for two days (RSPP-red), but its fine. Although feel bored and tired to wait, even we spread out newspaper in front off the door, nevertheless he is an important figure so we must observe his condition all the time. Because if we failed to watch and something happened, that would be fatal for us," he said.

Similar statement expressed by Dion (28), a mold journalist who felt sick and tired, but he enjoyed it since he could add lots of friends.

“It’s quite bored to wait, I used to mobile. The moment is indefinite and unsteady sometime, there are no extraordinary news because it only moves around fluctuate health condition. However its nice to add more friends,” said the journalist who used to post in TNI Headquarters.

Except tired to watch over, there are interesting sides happened in Pertamina Central Hospital (RSPP) journalist. Some of them did not recognize the official as well as former official who looked for Soeharto.

As told by Stevy (28) national newspaper journalist. “The funny thing is, many friends don’t know about the names of official and ex-official. They occasionally stand by in front of the door, but when the person came out, they have no idea about them,” Stevy explained.

The rapid movement of informant, cleared Stevy, made some journalist confused.

“It’s quite hard if media only send one journalist over here (RSPP-red). Better send three people instead. Because visitor can enter from front or back door, and center part of the doctor’s movement,” he said.

Differ with other, Harismen (32) TV journalist who admit working with twenty team members, particularly observing Soeharto’s condition.

“Even we have many members, but still we got cheated by informant,” Harismen explained.

Having seen large number of journalists to report, Haris added, he quite overwhelmed concerning the reporting target which failed a lot.

“Many reporters come to report, but the questions are different each other, so what we and other reporters expected sometimes can not be achieved.” However, Haris still felt excited since he could meet other journalists from newspaper and electronic. “ We usually share each other to avoid saturation and sometimes gossiping,” laughed Haris.
