Megawati Invites Young Generation to Compete

(Jakarta) - General Chief of PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri, summoned young generation to go forward becoming national leader in 2009 General Election. According to Mega, young generation should be more passionate if they truly interest to become president in 2009.

“Well, where’s our youth, why don’t they show up? Why nobody dares to speak a name? Until this day, I haven’t heard them. Anyone is pleased to join. There’s nothing wrong in possessing dream.” She added.

Meanwhile, General Secretary of PDI-P Pramono Anung stressed that PDI-P is an opened system party for everyone and ready to bring forward some potential young men, but they still have to pass procedures and mechanism in the party.

“I would like to notice for young men whom intend to start politics to be ready passing the process. It’s not appropriate to candidate themselves as a governor when they only served as legislative member for a year” Pramono said.

Early this morning, amid the 35-th Dies Natalis of PDI-P, Megawati installed fifteen young men – whom most of them were public figure-became PDI-P official member. Mr. Harto Often Jokes

(Jakarta) – Eventhough still in unstable condition, Soeharto often joked with his family and colleague who visited him, nonetheless the jokes were captured visually from his smile and slight movement.

Thus, Minister/State Secretary,Moerdiono said after he got back from RSPP, Thursday afternoon (10/1)

“Mr. Harto is joking especially with Mbak Tutut, since she often teases him. But he also cracking

jokes with nurses taking care of him,” he said.

Appear Before Orientation

According Moerdiono, Soeharto keep doing his ritual prayers obligation. Even, he asked for his bed position facing the orientation.

As told by Mega (28), radio announcer who declared her bittersweet in observing former leader of new order's condition.

“I’ve been here for two days (RSPP-red), but its fine. Although feel bored and tired to wait, even we spread out newspaper in front off the door, nevertheless he is an important figure so we must observe his condition all the time. Because if we failed to watch and something happened, that would be fatal for us," he said.

Similar statement expressed by Dion (28), a mold journalist who felt sick and tired, but he enjoyed it since he could add lots of friends.

“It’s quite bored to wait, I used to mobile. The moment is indefinite and unsteady sometime, there are no extraordinary news because it only moves around fluctuate health condition. However its nice to add more friends,” said the journalist who used to post in TNI Headquarters.

Except tired to watch over, there are interesting sides happened in Pertamina Central Hospital (RSPP) journalist. Some of them did not recognize the official as well as former official who looked for Soeharto.

As told by Stevy (28) national newspaper journalist. “The funny thing is, many friends don’t know about the names of official and ex-official. They occasionally stand by in front of the door, but when the person came out, they have no idea about them,” Stevy explained.

The rapid movement of informant, cleared Stevy, made some journalist confused.

“It’s quite hard if media only send one journalist over here (RSPP-red). Better send three people instead. Because visitor can enter from front or back door, and center part of the doctor’s movement,” he said.

Differ with other, Harismen (32) TV journalist who admit working with twenty team members, particularly observing Soeharto’s condition.

“Even we have many members, but still we got cheated by informant,” Harismen explained.

Having seen large number of journalists to report, Haris added, he quite overwhelmed concerning the reporting target which failed a lot.

“Many reporters come to report, but the questions are different each other, so what we and other reporters expected sometimes can not be achieved.” However, Haris still felt excited since he could meet other journalists from newspaper and electronic. “ We usually share each other to avoid saturation and sometimes gossiping,” laughed Haris. Soeharto Still Lower

(Jakarta) - The 8th day of Soeharto’s health improvement was still unstable, but his condition has been gradually better.

“Photo scan showed good indication, but still not fully recover,” Chief of Presidential doctor team Mardjo Soebiandono said in press conference at Pertamina Center Hospital, Jakarta, Friday (1/11).

The body temperature of Soeharto, Mardjo said, is about 36o celcius. Although lower, Soeharto still conscious. Whereas remedical of lung seen from asphyxia symptom decreasing.

The cardiologist Hardiyanto explained, problems happened to Soeharto all this time was asphyxia which caused by liquid accumulation in his heart.

“It cause by two reasons, they are liquid excessive and debility for heart. These two reasons is intensively handled by us.

Until now, the doctor team haven’t decided to put heart synchronization tools (cardiac resinchronization therapy/CRT), remembering the condition former leader of new order which unstable. (Dhita)

SBY-Badawi Meet Face To Face

(Putrajaya) – President Of Republic Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will meet face to face with Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi in Annual Consultation Meeting Of Indonesia-Malaysia on Friday (11/1) afternoon.

This meeting will be held on around 30 minutes and furthermore official government from both countries will attend consultation meeting.

The result of companionship haven’t been known yet. But, in that bilateral meeting, the complication of matters pertaining to man power will be discussed.

Economic sector also open to be discussed, such commerce and investment upgrading, border issue area, illegal logging, founding of Eminent Person Group (EGP), cooperation in military, education, tourism, and culture areas.

President and cabinet minister arrived in prime minister offices at Putrajaya on 10.15 am. They met Prime Minister Malaysia Abdullah Badawi and Minister Foreign Affairs Malaysia Syed Hamid Akbar.

PDI-P Starts Huge Activity Toward 2009 General Election

(Jakarta) – The 35-th Dies Natalis of PDI-P had become PDI-P's declaration arena to start huge activity in order to win the legislative election, president election and vice president election on 2009. The Dies natalis this time will also celebrated simultaneously through out the year starting today, January 10th 2008 until January 10th 2009.

“I would like to inform some cadres whom are at the party’s structural and at the moment occupied position in legislative as well as executive, to make this time’s Dies Natalis as a starting moment of huge work in 2009 General Election triumph.” Said PDI-P General Chief Megawati Soekarnoputri in DPP PDI-P office in Lenteng Agung, today (10/1).

In her speech, Mega also warned young generation that managing a political party was not a simple task to do, it required high commitment. “It’s not easy to lead a 35 years of age party. Many ups and downs in party’s buffetings. In the other hand, it’s so easy for youth to establish a party. The difficulty is how to raise a party, keeping togetherness and solidarity in fighting for ideology being followed,” Mega said.

According to Mega, PDIP will always commit in waging a struggle for NKRI’s salvation. Nevertheless, she also clarified that PDIP platform was to implement party’s activity based on presidential government system, not parliamentary. “Careful young man, this what makes confusion of clever person in this country. Literally speaking, we definitely have willingness for Indonesia to be one union country. But the system starting to change if we speak out,” she cleared.

The Dillema of Doctors in Encounter of Soeharto’s Condition

(Jakarta) – Having taken steps of blood transfusion this morning, Thursday (10/1), the hemoglobin of Mr Soeharto increasing until 10.6 gram percent. Nevertheless, this increasing cause liquid added in lunge. This condition make doctors dilemma.

“Photo of lunge showed the added of liquid. Focus of the maintenance today is fixing the condition and balancing the lunge liquid,” dr Mardjo Soebiandono said. “The Lunge often damped by the liquid after we did the blood transfusion, whereas blood transfusion are needed,” dr Djoko Rahardjo said.

Djoko explained, today the liquids in Mr Soeharto lunge will be took out and theintensity about 180 cc per hour. “This far, 3888 cc liquids are already flowed out. The assembly of Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) is still waiting for the liquids libration in lunge and optimal condition. So, we can’t do it in short future,” he said.

The 35th PDI-P Celebration

(Jakarta) – The 35th Dies Natalis of PDI-P today (10/1) will be opened with opening speech by DPP PDI-P Main Leader Megawati Soekarnoputri and National Committee Leader of birthday celebration, Puan Maharani.

The event which held in DPP PDI-P office was the beginning course of birthday celebration event across Indonesia until January 10th next year.

However, series of event in PDI-P's Dies Natalis are flag ceremony, PDI-P member sign card (KTA) handover which symbolically followed by “Bangun Pemudi-Pemuda” song by Indonesia University (UI) choir, and charter signing collaboration between PDI-P and Indonesia Red Cross (PMI) about blood donor.

The whole course of PDI-P birthday celebration event was officially closed with a prayer led by Hamka Hag as DPP PDI-P chairman who’s also leader of Baitul Muslimin Indonesia.

SBY – Badawi Will Discuss TKI’s Case

(Jakarta) – Today, Thursday(10/1) President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will visit neighboring country, Malaysia. SBY was scheduled to meet Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

SBY will take off to Malaysia through Halim Perdanakusumah Airport at 11.00 AM.

High Level Forum agenda between SBY and Badawi which held on 11-12 Januari 2008 in Kuala Lumpur will discuss problem of Indonesian migrant laborer fate in Malaysia also palm oil opening plan.

Positive respond arise from 1st Commission member of The House of Representatives (DPR) from Struggling Indonesia Democracy Party (PDI-P) fraction, Andreas Pareira commenting on the visiting. He said that the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Malaysia are now at its lowest point and in history following the end of the confrontation.

Therefore he claimed that the leaders of the two countries need to make a breakthrough, in order to solve problems such as mistreatment of TKI, border problems, piracy of cultural and economic problems, also issue of terrorism.

Co-operative Minister: PPP Should Work Hard For Vote

(Jakarta) – Many disasters which opened the journey of 2008 in Indonesia has touched the anxiety of Co-operative Minister who’s also PPP’s Public Chairman Suryadharma Ali to work harder. He remarked it yesterday (8/1) in the middle of Indonesia’s National Army (TNI) Commander legitimating ceremony in Cilangkap, East Jakarta.

“Beginning 2008, we are welcomed with disasters everywhere, raising price of oil also affected on our economy. I hope Ministers of Indonesia’s Union Cabinet should work harder than year 2007. Since regarding with complexity of problems to be faced,” he said.

According to Suryadharma Ali, it is the only way if PPP want their constituent to be praised, they have to push hard. Prayer for 'JK'

(Jakarta) – The law process which involved JK's role player in Republik Mimpi program, Jarwo Kwat made public give their empathy, even has forced the member of the board to vote.

JK’s partner, Effendy Ghazali who was the president's counselor at Republik Mimpi asked public to pray for him.

Effendy said, JK was one hundred innocent, because there were some letters being hidden by the police.

According to Ghazali, the letter that was sent to Jarwo is a matter of private law.

“This is purely private law. The third commission of DPR has made agreement that the case purely private law. The new terms, if it is Munir than it will be Munirized, if JK being JK-ized,” Ghazali explained.

Politization of JK’s Case

Metro Jaya Police Department gave their comment.

“This case is over politized. What the police has made is appropriate with law procedure,” said the Chief of Metro Jaya Police Region, General Inspector Adang Firman in Jakarta, Wednesday (9/1).

The police's argument for this time, Adang said, has been approved by the attorney, “This is only ordinary case, there’s no motive in authority disused.”

Jarwo Kwat was being a suspect for his business partner’s report, Alex Tjokrorahardjo with charges of embezzling and blank check error, dealing with Kampoeng Bola 2006 program at East Parking Senayan on June 25th 2006 ago.

Jarwo has gave over the check to Alex Tjocokrorahajo with cash money amount of 190 million rupiahs and witnessed by Andar Jaya. At the same time Andar made agreement with Alex containing statement that Andar took responsible for the check’s nominal and paid directly 90 million rupiahs to him. The agreement was signed on a meterai.

But the barter of check with cash money has its continuation because Alex couldn’t cash the check. Then, Jarwo got a call from the police as a suspect for deceit case over Alex. (Dhita/Lala)
