SBY – Badawi Will Discuss TKI’s Case

(Jakarta) – Today, Thursday(10/1) President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will visit neighboring country, Malaysia. SBY was scheduled to meet Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

SBY will take off to Malaysia through Halim Perdanakusumah Airport at 11.00 AM.

High Level Forum agenda between SBY and Badawi which held on 11-12 Januari 2008 in Kuala Lumpur will discuss problem of Indonesian migrant laborer fate in Malaysia also palm oil opening plan.

Positive respond arise from 1st Commission member of The House of Representatives (DPR) from Struggling Indonesia Democracy Party (PDI-P) fraction, Andreas Pareira commenting on the visiting. He said that the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Malaysia are now at its lowest point and in history following the end of the confrontation.

Therefore he claimed that the leaders of the two countries need to make a breakthrough, in order to solve problems such as mistreatment of TKI, border problems, piracy of cultural and economic problems, also issue of terrorism.
