The Bulog Rice Stockpile 350 Thousand Tons

(Jakarta) - The Government rice stockpiles which in the authority of Bulog, this time only around 350.000 tons. This happened because the limited allocation of government budget in preparing the rice stockpile.

This was told by the main director of Perum Bulog Mustafa Abubakar after the Programme Seminar of Prevented Crisis and Secure the Sustainable Food Endurance in DPR-RI building, Jakarta, Monday (11/12)

“Bulog in the year of 2007 ever warned government to increase the stockpile until one million tons. This rice stockpile will be very important to overcome some bad possibilities because of the natural disaster, social conflict, and price instability.” Mustafa said.

Mustafa also reminded, the packet of food policy that now develop, should maximal in accommodating every stakeholder. Therefore the inharmonic goal between stakeholders could be minimalist with the actualization of whole policy. (Adi/trans Devi)
