Government Should Focus On Kerosene Conversion

(Jakarta) – The vice of Chief DPR RI Commission VII Sutan Bhatoegana asked the government to focus on kerosene conversion matters rather than making new policy about Fuels (BBM) limitation usage with card control or smart card.

“The matter of kerosene hasn’t finish why should make another policies. Push first the kerosene because that can economize 30-35 billion. This smart card only economizes 10 billion. If the kerosene conversion has already finished and the government still considers needs do economizations then use this smart card policy,” said the member of Democrat Party Faction when contacted by indonesianow.

Before directing the smart card program, Sutan hopes, the government should incessant in doing socialization so there will be no mistake perceptions in the societies. Beside that, Downstream Implementer Corporation (BPH) Oil and Gas (Migas) also should tighten this program observe. “BPH Migas also cooperate with the Law Stabilizer Side, so there will be not any deviation,” he explained.

Sutan admitted Commission VII has not asked opinion by the government about the usage of smart card for fuels (BBM). He and another member only heard about the usage of smart card to limit the usage of kerosene. “Therefore, Commission VII wills analyzing whether this policy will bring good or benefits.
