Indonesia’s Still Seeks Suitable Democracy

(Jakarta) – Historian Anhar J. Gonggong said, for ten years reformation duration, Indonesia’s still seeks the democracy form and suitable type to use.

“During four times of exchanges, Indonesians Leaders ever used democracy with various types, like liberal democracy and pancasila democracy, these days it seems the direction goes to liberal democracy, what next,” said Anhar when attended the dialog of “Ten Years Reflections of Reformation” in TVRI buildings, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday night (12/2).

According to Anhar, the situation that exist right now getting fluctuating, Indonesia still looking self identity that suitable for it self. “Indonesia impressed trial and error in trying all democracy products. All of that we can see it from the policies that was taken by the government which is disposed not holistic and not as a comprehensive,” Anhar explained it (Dhita/trans.Devi)
