Kasad : There Is No Interpolation Troop in The Border

(Jakarta) - The Staff Chief of TNI Land Force, Letjend Agustadi Sasongko Purnomo, affirms until now there is no interpolation of TNI troop in the border of Indonesia and Timor Leste regarding the political riots that happened in Timor Leste. This was told by Kasad after doing Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission I (DPR-RI), Monday (11/2) afternoon.

“Not increasing the amount of troops but for the soldiers that stays duty in the field to increase the awareness “, Kasad said. Like has been news before, the president of Timor Leste, Jose Ramos Horta has been hurt by the attack of Timor Leste anti government, Monday (11/2) morning of local time.

Kasad also add that these days in the border of Indonesia and Timor Leste there is one organic Battalion that guards the area. “This far only that battalion”, Kasad said. When he was ask about if the situation in Timor Leste might grow worst and there will be great exodus from Timor Leste peoples to Indonesian territory, Kasad said again that in this time as much as possible is to keep the border with increasing the awareness (John/trans.Devi)
