Raden Pardede More Competent Leading BI

(Jakarta) – Economic observer Aviliani said that Bank Indonesia (BI) needs a leader that able makes new step in monetary policy in Indonesia and the person who has those competencies is Raden Pardede.

“BI needs a person who is able to make future prediction, which is new steps in the monetary policy. If always happening like this the cost is expensive. I see that the person who has such experiences goes to Raden Pardede. Agus Martowardojo is good, but seeing more in micro problems and bank. BI is not only a bank, but also monetary, banking is an impact of monetary policy,” said Aviliani when contacted by The Indonesia Now in Jakarta, Saturday (16/2).

When asked about the Indonesian monetary policy form that should be repair, Aviliani explains the needs of strategy that directly connected with the government. “This time only maintaining the stability of exchange values, in the future there should steps, not only playing in the rate of interest, but also instrument that could correlated with the government from the monetary and fiscal side. Raden Pardede beside good monetary, he was also the expert staff of Economics Ministries, so he knows about the fiscal problem,” Aviliani explained.

The Tendency of President Susilo Bambamg Yudhoyono which supported more Agus Martowardojo to become the governor of BI was not a big problem according to Aviliani.
