The Electricity Supplies of Java – Bali System Back To Normal

(Surabaya, 24/2)– The electricity supplies in Java – Bali System start in this weekend back to normal and there will be no more in rotation of extinguisher, after the electricity deficiency has been overcome.

The main director of PT PLN (Persero) Eddie Widiono in Surabaya, Saturday, said, the deficiency conditions several times ago because the bad wheatear that cause the lateness of basic material coal delivery, so that happening the limited supplies of coal.

”The deficiency condition badly happened on Thursday (20/2) and Thursday (21/2), so held on the extinguisher in rotation. But since Friday (22/2) and this weekend has already safe, because the deficiency has already overcome,” he said firmly.

According to him, to anticipate the lateness and the limited of those basic materials, PLN steps in short terms will do initiate to increase the supplies of coal until 30 day of order.

He said, today there is adding in buying the coal that has already done from several sources outside the contract that has already existed. Even though it has higher price buying consequences.

Meanwhile, the long terms efforts, PLN will make new coal supplies contract with 60 new developers. This will be do because the 10 coal developers that has already contact right now, could not fulfill the needs of PLN coal supplies.

When mention about the buying consequences of coal basic material with higher price that should take by PLN, eddie said, doesn’t impact on the increase of basic electricity tariff (TDL)

“The electricity tariff should not increase. So what PLN supposed to do is doing efficiency in internal.” He said.

Therefore, Eddie hopes that the consuming society will voluntary doing efficiency in consuming electricity, because with those consuming efficiency will become effective way in consuming BBM with efficient. “Without consuming efficiency participation from the people the PLN effort in consuming efficiency of BBM electricity will be very hard,” he said.
