Megawati Invites Young Generation to Compete

(Jakarta) - General Chief of PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri, summoned young generation to go forward becoming national leader in 2009 General Election. According to Mega, young generation should be more passionate if they truly interest to become president in 2009.

“Well, where’s our youth, why don’t they show up? Why nobody dares to speak a name? Until this day, I haven’t heard them. Anyone is pleased to join. There’s nothing wrong in possessing dream.” She added.

Meanwhile, General Secretary of PDI-P Pramono Anung stressed that PDI-P is an opened system party for everyone and ready to bring forward some potential young men, but they still have to pass procedures and mechanism in the party.

“I would like to notice for young men whom intend to start politics to be ready passing the process. It’s not appropriate to candidate themselves as a governor when they only served as legislative member for a year” Pramono said.

Early this morning, amid the 35-th Dies Natalis of PDI-P, Megawati installed fifteen young men – whom most of them were public figure-became PDI-P official member. Among those young men are Rano Karno, Rieke Dyah Pitaloka, Utut Adianto, Professor Hendrawan, Mi’ing Adi Gumilar, Edo Kondologit and Richard Sambera. (Subhan,Adi/Teks.Lala)
