Government Support Creative Industrial Development

(Jakarta, 29/2) - Trade Department supports the development of creative industrial as one of priority to race the non-oil and gas (non migas) sector because it can absorb 4, 9 million employees and give contribution about 6,3 percent from Gross Domestic Product (PDB)

Mari admitted creative industry today hasn’t integrated as a creative economical potential. Therefore the government will unite the potential and its people power through Indonesia’s Design Program (IDP) so able to compete in global market.

When asked about the government fund release, Mari hasn’t certain the amount. “We haven’t any agreement on will be exists special budget for that sector. As a matter in fact Indonesia has already had Ventura Capital but have’nt socialized. There is idée also to optimize Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of State’s General Corporate (BUMN),” Mari said.

There were 14 sectors that include on creative industrial categories, i.e. advertising, architecture, art and antique market, craft, design, fashion, film, video and photography, interactive games, show business, publishing and printing, computer service and software, radio and television also research and development.
